Philip Napier was practically predestined to make his career in the building profession. His father Joseph Napier was a successful, reputable new home builder and developer in Pensacola, FL for over 30 years. Growing up in the family business, Philip spent his teenage summers working in the field with the construction crews. His father firmly believed that the business needed to be learned by working your way up from the bottom ranks.
The summer following his high school graduation, Philip built his first home from the ground up and entered it into the Pensacola area Parade of Homes, where it was awarded the “best of show.” He then embarked on a college education which culminated with his 1979 graduation with high honors from the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction. After several more years of working under his father’s tutelage, Philip took over the reins of the new home builder company in 1982 following his father’s retirement.
